Luke 14:12 is a nonprofit soup kitchen providing free meals to the hungry, homeless and working poor of Nashville. MADE For Our Youth
This organization’s biggest initiative is a program called Dream Bigger, which exposes Nashville’s at-risk youth to opportunities and experiences they might not otherwise have access to. Our Place Nashville
Nashville IDD Housing Group, doing business as Our Place Nashville, empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing homes that are affordable, work that is meaningful and an inclusive setting in which to live. The goal is to expand its program of Friendship Houses, each of which accommodates residents both with and without developmental disabilities by placing individuals with disabilities (“friends”) alongside graduate students, primarily from Vanderbilt Divinity School. They live together as peers, with the students providing some voluntary supports and the friends teaching the students about living life with different abilities.

Nashville Launch Pad
Nashville Launch Pad is a community and volunteer-driven cold weather emergency shelter, created specifically to be LGBTQ open and affirming, that provides meals, showers, safer sleep and supplies to young people in need. The shelter finds that 45% of the youth (18-24 years old) whom it serves identify as LGBTQ and 56% have been without a stable place to stay for over six months.

Organized Neighbors of Edgehill
This new Edgehill Men of the Future program trains young men ages 7 to 14 the value of working in the community and being of service to seniors. The youth will be taught character and moral values, along with leadership and organizational skills. Working with parents in the MOMS of EDGEHILL program, the Edgehill Community Garden, police officers, schools, churches and businesses in the community, along with government agencies, the program will bring positive presentations and resources to the youth. Field trips to places the youths have never seen before include courtrooms, council chambers, cultural arts museums, universities, lawyers and doctor’s offices. The goal is to teach our children that anything and everything is possible. The young men also will work alongside seniors doing "intergenerational gardening" and will receive a stipend, which will teach the value of working and getting paid for a job well done.

Second Harvest Food Bank’s mission is to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in Middle Tennessee.
